Hi Igor!

Thank you very much for your brilliant tool!

But it does not work on my Ubuntu 9.10.

I've installed the package:
Code
sudo apt-get install python-uniconvertor

Then it fails to convert Corel Draw file:
Code
[email protected]:~/suppo$ uniconvertor visitcard.cdr visitcard.svg
Cannot list directory /home/ulrith/.uniconvertor:[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/ulrith/.uniconvertor'
ignoring it in font_path
Cannot list directory /home/ulrith/.uniconvertor:[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/ulrith/.uniconvertor'
ignoring it in font_path
/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/uniconvertor/app/utils/locale_utils.py:9: DeprecationWarning: The popen2 module is deprecated.  Use the subprocess module.
  from popen2 import popen2
No plugin-type information in /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/uniconvertor/app/plugins/Filters/__init__.py
No plugin-type information in /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/uniconvertor/app/plugins/Filters/__init__.py

Any ideas?

Hi!

I have tested uniconvertor package in Ubuntu 9.10 and found that it works. A lot of warnings is reproducible issue but it seems they are caused by unusual Debian packaging for python related software.

Concerning your certain file please pay attention that our CDR importer doesn't support yet all object types in CDR format. I can suppose that file visitcard.cdr contains Artistic Text objects so converted result is empty.

We plan releasing UniConvertor 1.1.5 in nearest future and provide the same platform support like for sK1 (see sK1 Download page). The release version should fix a lot of issues. So just stay tuned on sk1project.org :)

Thank you, Igor. It looks like it works and generates some output file but almost empty which is very disappointing… Are you going to implement artistic text feature in the next release?

BTW: sK1 opens my .cdr file also loosing lots of content.

Actually Artistic Text is not just an implementation. First of all the feature requires reverse engineering stage and only after that can be implemented. So it looks like investigation. We have not finished this stage yet and I cannot promise resolving this issue before release.

I am having a similar issue to ulrith. The error message is the same and I have tried converting several different types of files. No output file is created.

Hi!

Can you provide more details about problem and sample files for issue reproducing?

Here is the complete output in the terminal when I try to convert a file:
Code

[email protected]:~$ uniconvertor '/var/www/jumpinfun/logo.plt' '/var/www/jumpinfun/logo.svg'

I have tried to convert other file types as well with similar results. Converting a .svg to .ps did work despite giving the same errors. I'm running Ubuntu 9.10. Let me know if there is other information I can provide.

nosecreek, hi.
Attach a sample file, please.
